  • Several high-profile Hindi films, including Sikandar and Raid 2, have been leaked online before their official release, severely impacting their box office performance. This emerging trend of pre-release piracy, suspected to involve insiders, undermines theatrical potential and digital deals.

    Indian airlines experienced an 8.45% increase in domestic passenger traffic in April, carrying 143.6 lakh passengers, driven by rising demand. IndiGo led the market with a 64.1% share, followed by Air India Group at 27.2%. Among airlines, IndiGo also achieved the highest on-time performance (OTP) at 80.8% across major metro airports.

    Dixon Technologies anticipates that increased exports and backward integration will compensate for any potential decline in margins and volumes following the conclusion of the PLI scheme in FY26. The company expects smartphone production to rise to 60-65 million units by FY27, with a significant portion destined for North American exports.

    Data from the CDSCO reveals that numerous MSME pharmaceutical companies in India are producing substandard drugs, failing to meet safety standards. Inspections have uncovered issues with infrastructure, quality management, and manufacturing processes. A significant percentage of MSMEs have faced stop production orders due to these quality concerns, prompting calls for stricter GMP regulations.

    MediaTek cautioned that India's ambition to become a semiconductor hub may face delays due to a shortage of skilled workers, contrasting with its robust software development sector.

    IndusInd Bank is investigating former key management personnel for potential accounting fraud, leading to a significant net loss of ₹2,328 crore in Q4 and a 71% drop in FY25 net profit. The probe revealed concealed wrongful practices and misleading information to the board and auditors. The bank aims for a 'clean slate' in FY26 after addressing these issues.
