Peren - The Swiss Quality Bargain

TORONTO - Oct. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- On October 29th, Peren Watches (http://www.perenwatches.com) launched a Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1288586432/the-swiss-quality-bargain) campaign, which in the first day has been already 20% funded without any promotion whatsoever. The project is about a new timepiece designed in Switzerland and hand assembled in the heart of Transylvania, made using only the best Swiss movements and top quality raw materials.

Peren is a startup founded by a watchmaker and watch enthusiast, with the purpose to create products unmatched quality wise at the selected price point. Their main goal is to provide to each individual, the chance to express their character and personality through an accessible, high quality, Swiss designed timepiece.

"The dream started to grow in my heart at the age of 10, when I had the opportunity to de-assemble my first mechanical watch, which belonged to my father and it was set to see the fulfillment day after meeting the most special girl, who made me follow her in the famous watch capital Biel/Bienne. There being selected for various traineeships, at some famous Swiss watch brands and after successful accomplishments, I was forced to return in my home birth country due to the latest Swiss voting. Thanks to their direct-to-consumer approach and  hand assembling technique, they are able to skip the middleman markups such as brokers, retailers, distributors, and give to people all around the world the chance to have a unique timepiece at the lowest price possible. The watches are designed in Switzerland by Francois Zahnd and Stefan Geringer, two of the best Swiss designers of our decade that proved their ability of turning dreams and ideas into works of art by winning the Reddot design award in 2009.

The watches feature a Swiss made Ronda 5030D Startech  movement, incorporated into a stainless steel 316L unisex brushed, matte or PVD coated 40mm watch case, covered up by a hardened scratch resistant and anti-reflexive treated mineral crystal glass. The strap is double layered genuine leather with contrast stitches or solid stainless steel.

After having developed the product for almost a year, the team decided to turn to Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1288586432/the-swiss...) to finance the initial production run.  In exchange for supporting the crowd-funding campaign, a list of attractive rewards are prepared for backers and a special price of only $190 CAD  is set to tease up the masses.
